Customers. You are so amazing. Everybody wants you.
You are the most revered component in the marketplace, you are universally loved, cherished and obsessed over.
We all know you because we are you. When you talk yourself into a luxury treat you rightly expect everything to be perfect. Anything less would ruin the pleasure.
So, brand X goes out of their way to impress you and assure you that if you choose their product you will have made the right decision. But constantly exceeding your expectations becomes more difficult as your expectations themselves increase.
Leading Brand Y to bombard you with marketing gimmicks.
Wherever you turn, whatever you click you are tracked, profiled and commoditised. You are a number, but every effort is made to reassure you that you are nothing of the sort. You are not an income bracket; you are an important individual with specific needs that only brand Z can meet.
And you wait with a zen-like calm in the midst of this cacophony; numb to the constant advances, the endless shades of grey. Because you know when a product is right for you.
More than perfect doesn’t exist.
It is impossible for a product to exceed your expectations...
But, what about it's packaging could that somehow manage?
If the product in question's packaging is Made by Fun it might just. After all, when was the last time you unwrapped something and it was the packaging that led you to do something that made you feel a little bit better about yourself and your day?
So far, everyone I’ve met who has taken the time to understand the idea behind Made by Fun thinks it’s great, but it needs your help.
You’ve already been bombarded with words, so maybe just click on one of the scenarios below to find out how Made by Fun could make you feel as a customer.
Scenario 01
As you open your latest purchase and turn it over in your hands you notice that the packaging is unusual. The brand name is there, but on a separate card that is very colourful but stylish. The card slips out and on closer inspection you read the back where it shows that the packaging is Made by Fun. You remember the shop assistant mentioning something about this. The packaging includes unique hand-made decoration behind the brand name and logo of the shop. There is a QR code on the card. You scan it in and it links to the web page of the person who made your art. You drop them a line complimenting them and feel good. A couple of days later they get back to you, glad that you liked their artwork and thanking you for taking the time to feedback. You feel good again.

Scenario 02
You know that you shouldn’t have done it, the earrings were way more than the money that you were given for your birthday, but, they were on sale and you are fed up with always compromising. You deserve them. You take a photo and post it. The compliments flood in from all of your friends, they’re a hit!
Xuba Jauadfph asks you how much you paid for them. You answer. She comes back, that much? And on sale? Then a few seconds later she posts a link showing them cheaper on Momozin “and with free delivery”. Typical Xuba. You were feeling good, and as ever she stuck her nose in.
You’d been turning the card that was on your earrings box over in your hand, you look at it closer. You see that it shows the name of the shop where you bought the earrings. It’s a lovely shop, somehow homely at the same time as being really classy.
On the back of the card there’s a QR code, curious you scan it. You find out that the artwork in the card was Made by Fun. You quickly fire off your compliments to the person that made it. You are surprised to get a thank you from them straight away.
They’re not making art today they’re on a trip that has been paid for through their involvement in Made by Fun. Their carer, takes a photo of the group and posts it with a special shout for you. That puts a spring in your step, then you think of Xuba again and reflect on how nice it is to be connecting with someone on social media who doesn’t have an agenda, hidden or otherwise. Smiling you reply to Xuba’s post...
“Xuba sweetie, you just don’t get it do you?”
Just in case this accidentally upset someone called Xuba Jauadfph:
